The Barnstormers Theatre of Tamworth, N.H., the oldest professional summer stock theatre in America, has announced its 2009 season. The season kicks off July 7 with “Brigadoon,” a timeless musical about a Scottish town that only appears for one day every hundred years. Other shows will include the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Dinner with Friends” from July 14 to 18, Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” from July 21 to 25, and “The Weir” from July 28 to August 1. In August they will present the classic comedy “Harvey” from August 4 to 8, “Deathtrap” from August 10 to 15, “I Love You Because” from August 18 to 22 and “On Golden Pond” August 25 to 29.

New this year at The Barnstormers is a special bargain program for families. Every Friday night will be Family Night, and family groups (containing at least one person age 18 or under) will be admitted for half price--$14.50 each for orchestra seats, $9.50 each for balcony seats, available on the day of the show.
