Women did meditation and painting at Chabad Lubavitch of Merrimack Valley in Andover.
ANDOVER —
More than 30 women attended a meditation workshop based on the teachings of Jewish mysticism at Chabad Lubavitch of Merrimack Valley in Andover.
Led by Neria Cohen, the women were guided on a journey through their souls, touching their emotions and stirring their subconscious minds. After exploring this inner landscape, they each painted a canvas which they were able to take home.
“The combination of meditation and painting facilitates interactive learning and enables participants to process ideas in their right brains, which is intuitive and non-judgmental,” Cohen said,
The uniqueness of each person’s painting and insights was very moving. The workshop provided a profound experience of relaxation and creativity — a kind of Jewish art therapy.
