"Basic Rights: Denied" is a new workshop that teaches participants how to overcome the most common obstacles that occur at each stage of the special education process: referral, initial evaluation, eligibility determination, IEP development, placement, and reevaluation. The workshop is taught by SPEDWatch founder and executive director Ellen Chambers, who shares the strategies and techniques she has used during her long career as a successful special education advocate. The fee is $35 per person ($25 per person for SPEDWatch members.) Evening workshops are scheduled from Sept. 29 through Dec. 1 in many towns throughout the Commonwealth. For further information or to register, call 978-433-5983 or email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
